The procurement manager will align Gentle Dental’s goals while selecting and negotiating vendor terms, prices, quality, and scheduling. The focus will be on all common dental office expenditures to include disposal supplies, small equipment, large equipment, service providers, and other related purchased goods and services. This position has the means and opportunity to raise company profits by making the most high-quality and cost-effective purchases, and improving quality dental care across the portfolio of offices by ensuring quality products are available at all times.


· Build successful relationships with business partners, executive leadership, dental directors and managers to understand needs and identify appropriate solutions

· Ability to lead a clinical team through product, supplier, and manufacturer selections

· Ability to influence and drive change in products and partner usage and selection through data-driven and benefit focused presentations

· Ability to continually monitor preferred vendor and product usage and develop metrics to track success

· Evaluate suppliers on the basis of the price, quality, and speed of delivery of their products and services

· Interview vendors to examine and learn about products, services, and prices

· Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new industry trends and make contacts with suppliers

· Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices

· Negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization and work with legal to document

· Work out agreements with suppliers, such as when products will be delivered

· Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action

· Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplier comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine the need for changes; Track rebates as necessary

· Manage and assemble database of all supplier contracts

· Annual spend should exceed $25,000,000


· 3+ years of experience in negotiation and vendor relations

· Must be a results-oriented problem solver

· Must be detail-oriented and organized

· Strong negotiation skills

· Possess strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft excel and usage of vendor ordering portals

· Requires good judgment and prioritizing

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work unsupervised and self-directed with limited oversight
